Hey there, I'm in need of a cheap new sled to ride for probably just one year (one year of college left) and i found a pretty good deal on a 2014 cat. Sled has 1400 miles and has slp pipe and can, 3" powerclaw, mvm belt drive, and 2016 front end on it for $3800.
I might go look at it this weekend so I'm wondering, what are the main things to look out for in these sleds when buying used?
Also, I've ridden these sleds before, and coming from a 2012 Polaris i had 2 complaints; they weren't super easy to sidehill and felt kinda heavy, and the clutch engagement was rough.
Does the narrow front end help quite a bit on these sleds? Only one I've ridden with the 36" was an alpha so of course it was easier, but i don't have experience with the proclimb with the narrow front end.
And finally, is there a good clutch setup out there that can smooth out the clutch engagement? I remember reading one time that the Suzuki doesn't like low clutch engagement very well, but can it be made more manageable at least?
Thanks for any feedback.
