Pump gas turbo kit for 800 r?

Well, pretty much any kit can be run with pump gas. It all depends on how much boost you want to run, head compression, and tuning ability. My 860 is pulling over 120psi compression at 7kft. I have run non-ethanol 92 octane at 7psi of boost safely at 8500-10k, just run a little more rich than normal. Have run 50/50 pump, av gas and 9-10psi boost, 50/50 race, av gas is good to 14psi and never had any problems. Lower elevations just get lower compresion domes or have your head milled and you can run pump gas.

Turbo Boyz

Hey Slednecks11, give Turboboyz a call, I know a couple people running their kits and havent had any issues, they have some of the best running XP kits on the snow and great service.

hea now i read on here it wasn't possible to turbo a 860 and you have a twin turbo:face-icon-small-sho what would be the advantage of twin turbo just curios?and put a pic of it on here if you haven't

Haha, I have seen all the hype on here that says a 860 turbo is impossible also, but... its not. Turbo Al built the motor, and Shannon built the turbo kit, its very close to the turbo boyz kit. If I recall this is one of the first kits that ended up starting turbo boyz?? Anyways, this 860 has been on boost for 3 1/2 yrs. and has been flawless for me, one of the very few super reliable carb 2-stroke turbos. The reason behind the twin turbos is 2 things, lower egt's and better turbo efficiency, which lowers intake temps thus creating more hp/psi of boost. Its more volume of air/psi, same reason you run a bigger turbo on a diesel pickup besides the ablility for more boost, your just raising efficiency. The 2 53's that I am running both equal a big 63 series aero. But, I have one turbo adjusted to were it comes on to boost earlier so lag under load in boondocking conditions is eliminated. I am making around 265hp at 10psi, can turn my track over 100mph during most hillclimbs! Alot of this has to do with how the motor is built/designed. Port timing, head, and yamaha watercraft pistons, etc. all work perfect together. I have posted pics on here before, in the rev section tho. If you want to know more about it just ask. Ok back to the original post

yep we built a couple of kits like that and they were some of the first kit to go out the door to customers. Just remember they are a bit more difficult to set up but work very very well. and the cool factor is out of this world. great job on that sled!!!

800 Skidoo Turbo kits

We have Mitch working and riding a 800 turbo kit and he wants Powder Lites to build kits for 2 stroke sleds.
I haven't built them for 14 years but should be fun and we are going to make a great running kit with a great price. Call and ask for Mitch
