Straightline does not look like it vents at all. Plus it is a fixed angle. No adjustment. And its plastic.

WRP is a huge vent, as the mesh vented area is as big as the gauge hole.
It has adjustable angle to match your height. It will not "flop" up or down.
It fastens in place solidly. You can add pivot holes to lower the gauge height if desired.
Made of CNC'd aluminum with a nice powdercoated finish. Lightweight too.
All stainless hardware.

If you think venting isn't a big benefit, well I can tell you differently. IMHO the venting of Matt's design is worth it alone. I rest my helmet over the gauge when taking a break and it is SO nice to put a nice toasty DRY helmet on to start riding again. A LOT of heat comes out of that vent!!! Can't recommend the WRP design enuff!

I honestly didn't realize the WRP is billet aluminum. It looks like it is cut and bent from aluminum plate.

so what if you get a intake vent on the dash? do you think that hot air coming out will suck right into the intake? or do you think it will just go straight up when that hot air comes out?

AMP makes a sweet billet one. Black anodized or raw. Put frogskin underneath to keep out the crap..

Just so you know I recommend the WRP ones over the Straightline EZ lifters. Those EZ ones have been out of stock forever. Not sure why it is so hard to deliver.

No, this simply allows underhood heat to vent. Has nothing to do with the intake.
