I Had been testing out the snow-pack all day on small high angle slopes and finally got one to fail at the end of the day. The snow may appear to be setting up but multiple unstable layers are buried below.
I would consider that to be pretty high angle slope which I had made a number of cuts trying to get it to slide as it's usually a good tell tale for surrounding snow-pack (it failed).
Though propagation was small here I have seen others run far and wide at the same depth two weekends ago. Certainly could see it breaking down to the very poor layers buried near ground level especially on low co-efficient faces rock slab etc. Snow pack here is 175 cm
