Poker Runs in Montana this weekend

The Elk Park Volunteer Fire Department annual Snowmobile Family Fun Run is Saturday, Feb. 7.
The day begins with registration at 9 a.m. at the fire hall. Parking is ample, and food and drinks will be available for purchase after the run. All riders will need to be back by 3 p.m.

All proceeds support the Elk Park Volunteer Fire Department


On Sunday, Feb. 8: The Wise River Jack Pine Snow-mobile Club is hosting a poker fun run starting from the Wise River Club. Regis-tration runs 9 to 11 a.m. Prizes and giveaways are planned. For details, call the Wise River Club at 832-3258.

18th Cabinet Ridge Riders Poker Run

Trout creek Mt, Sat the 14th. Raffle items include... 50 Inch Plasma TV , Sailboat ride in the San Juan isles. Lots of other raffle items. First card draw at the Wayside in T.C. between 8-10 AM last card back at the wayside by 5 pm. Our groomer is up and running and the trail is good , free dogs and chilly at the warming hut. It was a great ride. the trail was all tore up untill you got to the warming hut where there were a hundred sleds, after that they were fine. despite the fact that there is always a s*** load of people and a bunch a drunks dumb asses too. Other than that it wasnt bad at all except the chilli at the third draw station was not even warm and tasted like s***.

Bummer for you, the trail was bad last year, groomer was broke down the week of the run and heavy snow didnt help, your right about the fair share of drinkers , I dont know what to tell ya a few culls and a boat load of great peeps Dino

Helena Poker Ride

Yes, this is late notice but untill yesterday we didn't know if we would have enough snow. The Helena Snowdrifter's are hosting a Poker Ride tomorrow, Sat Feb 28, in Ellliston at the Law Dog Saloon (formally Stooners). Sign-up starts at 9:00am and ends at 11:00am. The poker run God's smiled on us this year and gave us a good shot of fresh snow for the ride. The trails will be freshly groomed.

How much snow you guys have up there now? I was thinking about coming up solo how many people you guys expecting? I assume there would be some people to hook up with who know the area.

Around 6 inches in Elliston, they are claiming over a foot in the hills above town. We usually figure on 200 hands and I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem hooking up with someone.
