Piston ring breaks off right after rebuild. Any ideas?

Took the engine right out. Cleaned cases checked reeds. Put it back together. New gaskets. Rebuilt cylinder New pistons and rings and spark plugs. Primed oil pump. Put 30-1 oil in the tank on the heat cycles. Put some more gas in to 50-1. Did 4 heat cycles. Started driving it. Put 9 miles on it and it piled up. Any ideas would be appreciated. Yes the pistons were in the right way. Rings were not upside down.
