So my question is can there be an issue with the DET sensor itself to cause DET Limp mode.
Here is the case, sled runs fine at altitude, when out in Alpine a few weeks ago riding the trail out of town to the better stuff continually hitting DET mode, PIA! Scratchers were not doing good job of keeping temps down, so I put the new sta-cools on and it was under 130 degrees from there on even added a gallon of race gas and still hitting DET mode. Once started climbing no issues whatsoever?
Stock Indy Dan Long Rod with no mods other than a Bikeman Velocity Muffler, not a loud stinger by any means. My TPS is set correctly in case you are wondering. So what is the fix/problem? Dan thought getting it back to a stock muffler... but come on, I should be able to run a can, what would this thing do at sea level...****!
I remember seeing some traffic about adding fiber washer to sensor, any hair to that, suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Bill
