octane booster??

It is for my m-1000 I am in california where we have E-10 fuel just trying to combat that i used a little race fuel sunoco 110 so far but the pipe temp sensor does not like the lead in the fuel

torco or lucas.

the only two worth looking at. im going to try a couple cans of torco and see how it reacts. i tried lucas and havent burnt my sled down yet. give torco a go.

It is not a turbo it has a rkt head reeds speedwerx pipe and y rkt porting pcv diamond s hood with intake stock box with larger snorkel with the ethoenol fuel we have it seems like it runs higher egts than before

Lucas and N.O.S octane boosters test almost identical with the Lucas a bit cheaper to buy...both will make 91 approx 98..

I have had great luck with Klotz Octane Booster. I don't rely on it for octane but as a little extra insurance on the days when I turn down and run pump gas.

SLP reccomended that I carry Lucas, Klotz or redline with me if I run into an area that I suspect has bad/ old premium or non at all.

I just would not us a non name or non race team brand. I dont think I would want to compensate with a booster to save at the pump and run regular all the time, but good insurance for those time when you have no choice.

Like Ive posted before NOS will not make 91 octane to 98. NOS octane boost will increase your octane by 10 points.
10 points will take your 91 octane up to 92.

If you really want to use some good Octane boost the Boost Juice seems to to be good but I would recomend running the Torco Accelerator.

It will take your 91 octane fuel up to 105 is you want. If you mix it to that. You can have 102 Octane if you want to use less of it.

What elevation are you riding at. I think I would call RKT and see what he thinks, Pretty sure you don't need it, If E-fuel is raising temps its not from deto its because E burns leaner (even though higher temps can cause deto), what it means is you would be better off adding fuel to the map rather than just adding octane. A good fuel map can reduce deto even with low octane. FYI My sled pulls harder running egts at 1150's than it does 12-1275.

n.o.s racing octane boost does 50 points..thats 5 octane....i know ther is lots of doubt about the lucas and n.o.s octane additive..but i posted lots of data in the past of companys that tested octane additives with the equipment to do it accurrately and lucas and n.o.s were the best of them...except torco is in a whole different league of being superior..all the rest..stp...wynns etc etc were all non existant in benefits...i think klotz is ok as well

I am looking for info on trying to boost the octane rating of avgas 100LL, are you aware of any studies out there where someone has done this? I pretty much decided to try a 20% mix of av and toluene, and then watch my egt's and see what if anything changed. I am running a turbo at 10lbs of boost at usually 8-10,000 feet above sea level and everyone has told me even 10lbs is dangerous. There are several threads here, and on the internet, but I have been unable to find one dealing with 100LL specifically. I would like to be able to turn up the boost once in a while, but do not really want to run 110 day in and day out.
