Weird. I took mine, put it where I wanted it, mounted the rear bolts, then built the factory tank hold-downs out with chunks of steel. Put them tight to the tank, pulled the tank, welded. Two on each side, then covered them in rubber. It jams in nicely, then bolts down in the rear.

I'll throw mine in there. It isn't QUITE done yet, I was going to put a 162x16x2.5 Extreme in there, but looks like it won't happen. I tend to like projects and this one is about done, it may be up for sale tomorrow, depends on what happens with another rig in the next few hours. :)

Anybody want to buy this sled? It kills me, but I need to get something with a newer chassis, the guys I ride with don't like the big stuff, and boondocking this thing in the slow twisties is about killing me, lol. I know I will get a pile out of it by parting, as I do it for a living, but kinda hate to tear it back apart, so would sell it whole and ready to rock for the right price.
PM if interested.
Chris

took the sled out today for the first time (well, tech. yesterday now) and had a BLAST!
been out of this for decades and finally got the chance to get back in. picked up this sled a month back for way cheap (imho) and got my reverse kit installed (thanks again Arcticatdan, for the parts and education) and replaced the stock seat (thanks redryder). got it up in the hills today and man o man... I haven't got much to compare too, but what a TANK! These things are out-freakin' standing! I felt bad for holding her back all day. Not bad for a first trial run. :becky:

left my cam in the truck, so I'll give one good one... rode hard, put up wet and another fuzzier one off the trail.

sled stats:
2004 Arctic Cat King Cat 900
162 x 16 x 2.3 challenger extreme non-ported track
billet 9" rear wheel kit
goldfinger left hand throttle
powder pro skis
speedwerx pipe & fmf titanium can

one question in-light of these great seat mods shown above. I'm an amputee. Lost my left foot back in '96, first Hog. Wearing a prosthetic makes it really hard to hold my leg in a tight bend, like a squat or "ready to bounce" position and while I can do pretty damn well standing up, I can't last at it for two long.

I really like the seat, especially with the lip at the back, to snug up against... but I feel like I need to get taller up in the saddle, so I can swing my weight around easier and hold my stump/leg in a better "bounce ready" position without loosing circulation from the prosthesis.

don't mean to make anyone uncomfortable or anything. I'm all good with this... happened long, long ago. So any input is greatly appreciated and even a good joke... but if it's not real good :boxing: Appreciate any good tips/leads/advice from those who've known the sled for a time.
