I’m currently swapping a kukosan ignition from on 01 800 rmk/non ves into a 98 xc700. Using a 700 ignition box, 800 stator/flywheel and coil.
I have it running, but it’s running like it’s in limp mode.
TPS is not hooked up, coolant temp sensor is, fuel switch(prem/reg) is not.
Starts great, idles good, wont rev up past 6500. Sounds like it’s running on 1.5 cylinders.
From what I’ve read, the way I have it setup, it should run good.
I do not know if having that prem/reg ignition key not hooked up will toss it in limp mode. Some say it will, some say it won’t.
Any help appreciated!
