Is clutching a 4s the same as clutching a 2s?

Posting in leu of an argument. A buddy of mine says you have to clutch a 4s just as you would a 2s for elevation. Is he correct? To my knowledge and everything I’ve read on here.... you clutch a 4s dependent on rpm range and what you are doing with the sled. Idk, maybe I am completely wrong and need some schooling.

Please help as I want to know what to do.

You clutch for RPMs and response and backshifting. Always a balance with any motor.

IMO, clutching a 4stroke is much easier because the powerband is much wider and more forgiving. You also don't have motor loading up issues on 4s as easy on 2s if you are not clutched correctly.

2s have to be clutched closer to hit and stay at peak RPM...they fall off the pipe easier and jetting is more sensitive.
