Installing Thumb Warmer Element

I’ve done them before and never seemed to have an issue. Installing a new one on my daughters 07 M6 and it isn’t going well!! The original sticky pad didn’t stick at all and neither did the Permatex Ultra Bond Super Glue I tried. What should I use to stick it on there? A different adhesive? 2 sided tape? Also are you supposed to bend those tabs over on the element to hold it in place?

Make sure to clean the bar good first. I usually use acetone.

I always clean any surface before trying to glue. I was thinking hand warmers but the thumb warmer is no different
