I have been running the Duraflex scratchers for the last two seasons. They work OK on lightly packed snow; but they lack the consistent down pressure needed on icy trails.
I wanted a reverse compatible scratcher but didn't want one with a long arm due to fairly limited space on the SBA skid.

I saw these scratchers on a T3 Summit and decided to give them a shot.

Here was my old set up with the Duraflex. I had an eyebolt that I used to stow the scratchers. I used an existing hole in the rail to mount the Duraflex to and also used this same hole as the starting point to install the T3 scratcher.

The distance from the Duraflex to the eyebolt is the same as the distance from the T3 scratcher to the little "hook" provided for stowing. On the SBA, that happens to land right in a small triangle shaped hole in the rail. I had same black HDPE laying around the shop, so I made up a spacer to fit inside the hole so I could mount my eyebolts there. It just happened to work perfectly with the T3 stow hook as well. I used stainless fender washers on each side of the rail to hold everything solid. Here is a pic of the spacer in the rail :

Here is the T3 scratcher parts that come with the kit. (This is only showing parts for one side)

Using the existing hole in the rail, I bolted up the mounting bracket, removed the front bogie wheel for access, drilled an additional 11/32" hole in the rail, and bolted on the scratcher.

Here it is installed and in the moving forward position:

Here it is in the reverse position. They just pop over center by flexing at the coil spring.

Here it is with the scratcher stowed on the hook. The hook is made from some sort of nylon or heavy duty plastic and has a bolt that runs through it's entire length to hold it to the rail.

These seem like they will work great. I have no miles on them yet so time will tell. They have a lot of down pressure and the business end is flattened and angled so the spray should shoot right into the track.
