Thinking about heading up there later this week just wanted to see how it is up there. Is Priest area looking better.
How's Roman Nose Area?

awesome riding when it's a clear day! was up there last year around this time and the lakes were a little thin in some places, but there was still quite a bit of snow on them.
we put in from pack river, which isn't too far out of sandpoint. you drive away and then get to a pretty big opening in the road where you will sometimes see a groomer parked and usually other rigs.
if you want to make a day out of it, you can get to priest lake, or even schweitzer ski resort out of sandpoint.
but if you just want to get up to roman nose and the roman nose lakes, you will be in for a day of endless climbing in some good bowls, and fun in the pow on the lakes. tons of places to play. climb up to one ridge, drop down into the lake, go up the opposite side, the next lake, and do it again. i think there's 3 roman nose lakes and a snow lake further to the north western direction.
