How much money do you anticipate spending on sledding this year?

Are you kidding me? Who tries to keep track of all the needs?
I'm actually seriously thinking about getting a new credit card this year that I put all my monthly sledding expenses on then track exactly how much I spend on it.
Aside from buying things like turbos, suspensions, or a new sled etc .... I figure I spent about $8,000-$9,000 on the season last year in travel expenses and general snowmobile costs. My bank actually called me to find out if my debit card was stolen twice last winter because I was buying so much gas on it.
I think I'm gonna kinda tone it down a bit this season, I just don't really see myself putting the kind of money into it I have the past few years. I would like to buy a new badass trailer this year, but I don't really *need* that.

Do I really need another new sled? With a turbo? I just might.
With my first kid off to college this year and two more that will be in college in 2 years I have really dialed back on the sledding budget. I'm hoping less than $1,000 this year. I'm no longer putting big $$ into mod motors so when the PSI 1085 went down last year I sold it rather than throw more money at the rebuild and if the 890 goes down it will meet the same fate.
In fact as we approach the college years I have recently unloaded the boat and jet ski. 2 of 3 .45 caliber Kimber pistols may go next and no special attachment to the Baretta O/U either and I've decided I really dont need the AR 15. Last year my brother offered me his BMW X5 for $10,000 and I passed and stuck with the 170,000 mile 1995 Camry.
If I have a nickle to my name after my kids are educated I am going to buy a bazooka and a triple turbo super charged nitrous rocket fueled 1500 cc lightweight monster of a sled but for now I'm totally low budget.

HELL NO! I have a rough estimate in my head, but I try not to think about it. Don't get me wrong, I love to ride, but sledding has to be up there with Horses and Drugs as far as pissing your money away. I try and stay away from debating things like "need" and "want". I try to justify it by the fact that you just can't put a price on taking a powder day off work and carving a few lines in 2 feet of dry fluffy powder on a bluebird day.

Lol, drugs are a hobby? Since I'm not showing hard any more and I already have the gear and tack, I spend about a $1000 in feed a year for my 2 horses, plus another $1000 for farrier, vet, worming, etc. This year for sledding since I have a new sled coming I think we will be spending in the $12000 to $18000 range. 
Oh well, any hobby can be as expensive or as cheap as you want it to be. Better to die poor then to die bored.

12000 for my new sled (min), 1000 bucks a mounth for fuel with no major travel, at least 6 mounths of rideing. Right there is almost 20 grand! Now if you start with the smaller stuff, pipe, air box, shocks, big bore, ect. then travel, hotels, food, then gear, pants, coat, gloves, goggles, threw out the season. Well it adds up in a hurry. Now if I put my 12 yr old in the mix, well holly cow. The money starts pooring out of my banks front door like a spring flood!!!!! I am sure this season will be closer to 30000 before its over.
BUT WORTH EVERY RED CENT!!!!! you can't by the fun or the adrenaline that comes with the sport. Time with my son priceless!

Maybe one of these years I can help you with that diesel. Not this year cause I smoked my vacation playing this summer but maybe someday I will learn to save vacation.
