how many of you have rolled your snowmobile

Funniest rollover I witnessed was about 4 years ago up in Snoqualmie. Snow was rock hard, my son lost it on a sidehill. Sled started rolling over, he somehow managed to stay on top, even when the rubber side was up--Track was still spinning, and shot him off the back like the dog walk in the Jetsons cartoon!:D

I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself, all the while thinking I hope he's not hurt--damn that was funny--where's the video camera when you need it!

Me - have a sled with the rubber side up? NAH! :face-icon-small-win

Might have better luck on this thread with " Who has Never rolled a sled?" I usually roll once or twice season. My worst was many years ago as ateenager. Was climbing a short technical hill in the spring and caught up to the guy ahead of me so I turned out. the track slid sideways on the hard snow and caught. I was high-sided and took 3-4 big steps down the hill to catch my balance and then realized the sled was rolling after me. It too 2-3 rolls and then turned end wise and pulled off a full flip with a half twist and landed on the skiis ! I was stoked andwas pumping my fist in the air and dancing about until I saw the look on my dad's face. Ooops. Busted a hole in the hood from a buried fence post and wasted the windshield. Good times.

I rolled my sled my first time out this winter. I decided to show off for a buddy of mine that I just got interested in sleding. Anyway, we had riden hard all day and I decided to show him how to sidehill. I made it about half way up the hill then I buried my track. I was knocked off balance and fell off my sled. The sled rolled over the top of me and I was throwed from the sled by the track when it was upside down. I was ticked thinking I had just cracked my hood my first time out. I tipped the sled back over and was fortunate that I had only cracked my windshield and broke a shock. Needless to say my buddy was not too impressed with my sidehilling skills. The only thing I hurt was pride.:D

mine rolls at least 4-6 times every time i go ride.. some times its just easyer to pull it out by rolling it when you get stuck trying to make your hi-mark. you just gotta make sure its just one roll though or else its a yard sale:D:D

HMMMMM. Once maybe, a few years back, LOL. Borrowed sled. You can see the mistake by the first pic. After the tree (about 6" at the snowline) ripped the suspension off the right side it rolled about a dozen times to the bottom, at first sideways and then of course end over end. Late season, hard snow and we were able to pick up most of the yard sale on the way down.

Rolling hasn't been that bad, for me. A bad roll would only consist of a cracked hood, a popped loose windshield, and of course an opportunity for a few pictures.
This is what happens when they stop rolling and start "ghost" riding. Actually cobbled it back together and rode it back to the trailer.

I only rolled one time years ago up in the Copper Creek bowls in Lincoln MT. It happened to be the first sled I ever owned which was a 96 xcr sp 600. Heading up hill between some trees, I hooked a tree with the ski that was up in the air and that's all she wrote.

Parts everywhere. Hood trashed......lots of immediate venting to the engine compartment. Thank god for duck tape to make it home. Besides bruised ego, the rider was in one piece.

Hey Dick, I hear we have pictures of that one!

You know sometimes rollovers can be hilarious or humilations but it also can be no funny business if you get hurt from rollover. Several years ago I got hurt pretty bad that put me out of work for 2 weeks with bruised shoulder blades, sprained right shoulder joint that kept me waking up every 2-3 hrs and slept upright position for little over month plus busted pride. It took a year to get healed 100 percent.
I was hillclimbing with 01' Mountain Cat 800 and as I was little over top and hit hard cold stone snow drift that threw me off balance. As I was rolling down the hill AHEAD of sled, same time sled was rolling violently toward me, slamming on my helmet that left 2 deep gouges on top of helmet and cracked the front below shield of helmet that I had to junk the helmet. plus skis were slamming on my back bruising shoulder blades. Sled kept rolling throwing a big snowcloud all way down the hill losing few plastic parts and windshield. Nothing broken on sled as all parts were put back together on sled. But that is not only time I have rolled, I have rolled a couple of times but nothing serious like this one.

ouch... tekvest, dude!

Almost had mine flip over and hit me this weekend... snow was terrible, caught some ice on a climb and it dropped over to the downhill side, i managed to keep it up and stop it from rolling over onto me and into the trees :\

Seems like every time I ride i do something stupid and end up flippin it over a time or two

I think my record of rolling my sled is somewhere from 15 to 18 times in one go, before it decided to finally get on its skis and go for a solo test run into a tree. Thats the luckest I've ever been cause it just got caught up in the branches and did no damage. Not even a crack in the hood:)

But last time i rolled my sled to get it unstuck broke my brake handle:face-icon-small-dis that was a bummer.

but i usually get one or two good rolls in a season.

first time i went to jellystone (about 6 years ago).. i rented a sled, was in the park, rolled the sled on the road.. winshield popped off.. lost the little rubber band things that held it on.. i was freakin because it was a rental..

so, we get out of the park, i go straight to the dealer to get the rubber bands.. i step up to the counter, tell the guy what i need, the guy standing next to me says "what happened?" i say, oh. just rolled the sled over and lost the bands.. he says, "oh, thats my sled".... i almost shat.. he helped me put the windsheild back on and ive been renting from him since.. :)
