Cash. Took awhile to save up but it's worth it.

I tend to slow down and think harder about if its really worth it when I hand over an envelope of hundys for something I want. Also save up in the summer for the winter's fun.

Rented sleds for several years

Saved hard for those same years.

Bought three new sleds, 08, 09 and a 2010.

PAID CASH for all of them.

Our House Rule.

You are not allowed to go into debt for TOYS.

Usually buy used with a combo of cash & finanacing. This year won 80% of my new sled. Thanks ACSA and Arctic Cat!

Lived in the mountains and didn't have the coin saved for a sled so i paid 250 a day and 30 in gas to get their, 400 miles away dropped 10K on a sled, finally,:face-icon-small-hap and spend $300 in diesel plus rooms to ride, and a trailer:face-icon-small-coo, this is absolutely an investors hobby.
No payments, and not interested in interest, home only. Expensive hobby for everyone commited to the sport and I hope no one sweats the Cash!!!! answers posted. Missed alot good rides saving, and if I saw a move coming during that time I would've signed the loan papers.

Cash and carry these days. I have 1 credit card and a house payment. Own my 2 vehicles and my sled.
I've had car payments, I've had sled payments, I've had several credit card payments. Your quality of life without debt is much better. If you don't have the cash for a new sled, then keep your current sled.

All toys are paid in cash, except for the camper-intrest is tax deductable. I'm lucky to have a good savings account, so the money is pulled out of there and repayed to my account with intrest figured in to keep it growing every time we tap into it. No credit cards either.:face-icon-small-hap

After my 2nd deployment in 2007 I had saved close to 12k on top of my reenlistment bonus so I walked in with a $10k cashiers check and drove out with a new sled. I will probably not get another sled until I can't fix this one anymore. I am going to get my 10k dollars worth of fun out of it one way or another!

Come to think of it, I've probably put another 8k into it with all the mods....so make that $18k worth of fun. haha.

I have to admit, I am REALLY SURPRISED by the number of people here that are paying CASH and not financing their sleds!

I would have guessed it to be just the opposite.

I thought most people were financing them and not paying cash.

Maybe there is hope for America and our debt problem after all !!

Not to make a Premium Member VS Basic member Fight here..

I really don't think were getting all the sledders to Vote on here..

Were seeing the Great ones or the ones that get involed on here..

Paying Cash! period

What are the Basic ones doing??

Financed my new sled in 03.....wasn't married lived at home was making good money....could have saved but would have missed out on some great rides with great people don't regret financing one bit.

Now with 3 girls I will probably never own a new sled again and I am okay with that. I thought my wife and I made decent money but after reading all this I guess not. I must be doing something wrong

So you think all the people that are in debt up to their eyeballs are not voting?

That, and like stated earlier people these days think getting a loan or line of credit through their bank and then writing a check on said credit is "paying cash." Those 2 items combined with good old fibbing make for skewed stats.

ya i agree....nothing wrong with financing.. isnt that why they have it? so broke bastards like me can play as well? no way i could wait to save all that coin. rent insurance and food alone seem to keep my bank account drained pretty good....would take me 3 years to save up enough money to buy a brand new sled. thats a lot of fresh to pass up on!!!!

Don't say that. Daughter #2 and 3 hit the ground in about a month. I better not be done buying new. lol.

I pay cash all the way, but ride older stuff... probably about 6 years older than the new. Currently on a 900 King and will go M8 in the next season or two when the prices drop. Will pay cash. And I keep up with ALL that new junk all day long... a lil' more wrenching maybe... but I keep up.

I didn't pay cash, I wrote a check :face-icon-small-hap Out of my business account ( Just so you know PJ's theory is correct!) form my 10' 600 RMK and 11' Pro rmk.
