HMK or Klim?

I'm looking to buy a new jacket and I've narrowed it down between the Klim Klimate and HMK Action jacket. I'm sure the Klim Valdez jacket would be better, but between the klimate and Action, which would be a better choice? HMK stuff seems to be pretty solid and might be nice for a change. Any opinions? TIA

I haven't had an HMK jacket, but I ride with all Klim gear and don't regret spending the money in the least bit. I have the Tomahawk jacket myself (not to mention bibs, boots, 2 X gloves, socks and balaclava).

klim for sure. Hmk is also makes a great jacket but in my opinion, klim out does it.

I recently purchased some new KLIM gear. The stuff is awesome. The only drawback is the price. I recently bought the HMK tech jacket and really like it, it fits good on me and that is rare. I am short and fat. I would not hesitate to buy any of the HMK stuff, at all! Their customer service is second to NONE! I bought a pair of boots that just didn't work out for me, and they did everything to make me happy. Basicly the boa's aren't for me. Kirk sent me parts at no charge and ended up replacing the boots with some that had laces. The boots are awesome. Good company to deal with! KLIM has done me right also, either choice is a good one. -00's

I also wear an HMK Jacket and HMK boots along with Klim pants. I love the KLIM pants and I will never wear anything else but as for the jacket and boots... HMK is more comfortable and have more to choose from than KLIM.

You aren't really comparing apples to apples. Although HMK makes a nice product, you can't put them in the same catagory. What I'm trying to say is that although many companies try, there is no substitute for Gore-Tex. I've owned numerous brands before and none of them compare to Klim.
