Handlebar riser for 2008 RMK 700

6 - 6.5" is about it.
I went with the 6" fly riser. there was a little slack left, but I sure wouldn't go much more.
I have heard of people going to 7" or even 8", but you have to reroute cables and stuff and I think the brake line would be to tight.

Longer Riser

Got a question, guys. When you took the old riser off, did you have to disconnect the wiring harnesses that run from the left and right side of the bars in order to get the riser off? Both of my harnesses are running down the inside of the OEM riser after being inserted from the slots on the side of the riser. Both harnesses come together near the top of the airbox. The factory didn't run them down the outside of the riser. Throttle and brake cables are OK, but not the wiring for the handwarmers, etc.

Replies welcome.

Thanx.

I have 7" CR Racing risers on mine and they work fine but the throttle cable is right on it's limit. I also had to re-route the brake line.

You unplug some of the wires down under the console, and the ones that go into the left side switch block unplug from there. You just have to unscrew the switch block from the master cylinder then You can unplug the wires.

You could cut the old riser, I have seen it done that way, but it looks nicer if You route the wires through the new riser like they were on the old one.

here is a 6, its a standard one. I didnt want to wait for the narrow 6.5 to come in but it still works and i like the look of the wider block.

I would like to get rsi bars and the adjustable 6-8.5 rox risers. full extended they should be the same height because the stock bar have about a 2 inch rise compared to the flat rsi. Then i can lower the bars for drags and the trail and have wider grips
