what if i just buy a used skid frame with already installed shocks and put that in?Bolts right in. If you search you could probably find the weights posted from back in the day. The main difference is the axys skid is coil over and the dragon/iq skid is torsion springs. You can use your front track shock off your IQ skid, just need to buy a rear shock if you buy a skid without shocks. Pro era skid is basically the same as axys and drops right in also.
and do you think it is worth it to buy a lightweight can instead of using a stock one?Bolts right in. If you search you could probably find the weights posted from back in the day. Nice. do you think it is worth it to buy a lightweight can instead of using a stock one? Here are the measurements for the 2011 to 2015 pro ride rmk sleds. I think the axys are the same but I have never measured an axys tunnel. I have measured the rails from a pro ride and an axys and the arm mount points on the rails are the same. Pro ride skids are just over 40 lbs, without scratchers installed. Newer axys and matrix skids came with SLS springs that are a little bit lighter.
If your goal is to shed weight, Cans do provide weight savings that are significant, some up to 10 lbs. Some are obnoxiously loud though. Your long term hearing will suffer ( ask me how I know this) running loud exhaust. I would recomend SLP and any others that offer light weight exhaust systems that are close to stock sound levels.Nice. do you think it is worth it to buy a lightweight can instead of using a stock one?
I only have SLP as a option and i dont wanna get anything that is louder, is it really noticeble or does it feel almost the same?If your goal is to shed weight, Cans do provide weight savings that are significant, some up to 10 lbs.
