Grouse Hunting in Ely/Babbitt, MN Area?

Four of us are doing some work in Babbitt, and are thinking about trying some grouse hunting in the area after work. Anyone have any experience or luck hunting up there?

Live here in Ely wont give away my best spots but..............take a ride up the echo trail east of Ely road runs around 50 miles of gravel after you get past Burndside Lake.......A very nice cruising road with lots of side roads to explore..........Went up on tuesday few grouse and saw a Timber Wolf on the road..............Stop at the little restaurant and bar at the end of the road good hambergers nice people!! I grew up north of Two Harbors and hunter grouse between there and Ely but, that was 30 years ago! I hunter deer at Sand Lake.

Sometimes I miss it back there.

I'll be building a hunting cabin on the Echo Mon.

It'll take two days. I looked the site over last Wed. I saw a few grouse and I too seen a big wolf on the road.
