Actually ended up ditching the whole helmet mount thing and bought a chesty mount. Much better than the helmet. For one you don't have the extra weight up there and you don't have to worry about it in the trees. Plus when watching the videos It gives a much better angle you actually feel like the rider in the movie instead of way above the action.

Not a fan of top of the helmet view either. It seems too far away from the action.

I've always mounted mine on the side of the helmet below the goggle strap.
