Just wondering what guys are running out there in there g5 turbos . I can’t say the factory setup is the worst I’ve had , my biggest complaint is the crazy high engagement and the buzzy bottom end .
From what I can gather from parts diagram they are still running 150/250 primary spring, my thoughts were to try the brp 100/250 spring and possibly a 42/40 cam I have sitting around.
I know there is tons of clutch kits available out there , and I will probably go that way just want some more test time on g5 because you can’t assume there kits are all dialed in for this g5 monster.mine already needs pivot weight seeing 8200 on tach now that it’s full broken in . Happy new year all .

My gen5 turbos r came with a 170-350 primary, I put in a 135-325. I like the lower engagement.

agreed on the super high engagement and that buzzy low end. i just installed an ibackshift clutch kit and will be heading out tomorrow to assess. i've had his clutch kits in my last two sleds because they perfom great and when i took out my 2023 turbo the first time, the less than ideal factory clutching was immediately apparent in comparison.

Shr also is changing the gear depending on what sled you have...gearing up with the 154s to a 22.. cause skidoo has the same 21 gear in the turbo 154 as they do the 175 which doesnt make any sense...i just ordered his kit for my Lynx shredder 154 3" turbo. I've always been very happy with his kits on my sleds and they have always run flawless and been substantially better than stock set ups

Sled is great, no complaints. Snow is getting deep here in western wy.. still planning on trying ds3 skis over the lynx skis to see the difference, but otherwise i am more and more impressed with the skid and suspension everyday i ride it.. looking forward to putting in the SHR clutch kit to really get the most out of the engine

went out after the iBackshift clutch kit install and again, it's money very well spent. a proper low engagement and smooth power delivery.

What did the kit come with? Site does not say. Two springs, helix, ramps?

there's a pic above whatever kit you're interested in showing everything that comes with the kit. be advised you'll need either his clutch holder tool or the brp one as the '23 primary clutch is different.

Or a ratchet strap, go around the primary and hook it to the running board.

? 5 words from the get go would have been sufficient, but that works too, thanks ?

Noticing as I work my way through break in I am gaining RPM. From new I was at 8000-8100 RPM
Now just about through break in I am sitting at 8100-8200 even saw 8300RPM all in clicker 3. Once break in is done will probably have to add weight to get it back down.
