Fuel Range on M1000?

If you're trail riding what is the fuel range (in Miles or KM) of an 08 m1000? Just normal cruising, not too much hot-rodding.

I Have Noticed That Trail Riding The 1000 Creates High Egt's So I Try Not To Do That .60 Miles In The Powder ,to The Bars.

That surprises me, do they have a smaller tank? It seems with a 20% smaller engine they would burn less fuel.

Who trail rides a M1000??

I've heard they should get around 6-7MPG on the trail, is this in the ballpark?

same size tank, i burned 9 gallons in 50 miles, my dad burned 12 gallons in 57.5 miles.
next day, we both went 58 miles, i burned 10 gallons to his 12 gallons again.

My first ride out I rode real easy breaking the motor in and getting very good gas mileage, my Buddy's 07 M1K guage was so far below mine it pissed him off. Now the break in is over and I'm on the hill it still is not that bad. My friend and I ride the same and I always have more fuel than him.

Put 50 miles on this weekend in 2-2.5' of fresh powder.

Pounded it hard.

Burned 12 to 12.5 gallons. About the same as my old 900 1M.

About 4MPG

I honestly expected better with the EFI and crap.

You know that is pretty damn bad. Hell Jet boats can get that kind of milage.

rode 76miles today 8.5 gal, with 1.3 inches still left in the tank.........the other m10 had more gas left but would only sputter, so i guess he made it 74miles............luv the torq, gonna hate carrying a gas can.......my 07 m8 would have used 7gal or less in the same distance..........

50 miles on 12 gallons? id say that is a tad rich

I go about 70 miles that only about 20 miles max on the trail then it took me 10.3 gals to fill just happened 2 days ago. ......... if that helps u any?

92 miles 11 gals. ran hard on the trial and never let off the gas in the mountain I think as far as sleds go it does pretty good.
