I could never figure out how a engine with injectors on the throttle body could use less oil than the straight eteck.
The gas going through the crankcase will wash of some oil and it gets burned or spit out like old style 2 strokes. If you would inject 40% less oil and on top of it have gas washing the crankcase and piston one would assume that there could be a problem. Just makes no sense and is now proven wrong. I guess that throttle response comes with a cost after all -- in this case it is oil, could be worse.
If I was worried about fuel consumption I wouldn't buy a 800. Who really cares what they get for mpg? when it needs more gas , put more in. MPG's are so far down the list of worries for me. Nothing about the sport is inexpensive, but spending $40-$50 per day for gas and oil for a *** load of fun is cheap therapy if you ask me.
