Found the Rattle on A/C

hey guys i was able to find the rattle that was on my 01 cat i just got, it turns out it is the slides rattling in the carbs, does this mean their wore out, if so can i get away with just changin slides or what? thanks Keil

Carbs do wear out and if they are wore enough to rattle it will not just the slides - the body of the carb will be augured out some too. Another place that wears out fast is where the needle rattles in the needle jet ruining the jet.

This makes for an extremely hard motor to keep running properly.

I would recommend searching the swap meet for soem new carbs... Small price to pay for such a great time... You don't want to be tinkerin all the time.
