we have not heard to much one way or another on the 3 roller spider on the TSS-04 secondary? who well does it work?

It must work well enough that Speedwerx is developing it for Cats now too. They claim the difference over a two roller setup is noticed in really high load scenarios (2:00 in the video). Which is what I would expect since it should help balance the helix load as the clutch is going around with the result being less binding pressure on the helix and sheave bushings.

Carl's looks like they are incorporating a torsion spring with their setup. Claim lightning quick backshift, which torsion springs generally seem to do better compared to compression springs.

I put in a Carl's Clutch kit and love it. I rode a couple friends sleds with different clutch kits and stock and would stick with Carl's.

That being said, I guess I would have to try the exact same set up with a 2 roller spider/helix to really answer your question about 3 rollers specifically

I put on carls Tri roller assembly with TRS primary clutching on my 9R its buttery smooth. Smoothest clutching I’ve ever had no clunking when going downhill then back uphill and hard on the throttle it also fixed an issue my sled was having with holding peak rpm
I also put a Tri roller setup on my boost no torsion spring. I used TRS helix angle from his boost kit also using his primary p-85 boost clutching. I didn’t notice any performance difference in this Tri roller setup with no torsion spring. I also tried Carls boost secondary Tri roller torsion spring setup running TRS P-85 boost clutching it was smooth but I lost about 300 peak rpm. TRS setup works so good I didn’t want to tinker with my primary so they would work together and take a chance on losing performance.
