Enhanced Dealer Setup of a Snowmobile

I am in the process of purchasing a Spring Check 2015 Summit T3 163. I live in Colorado and have called numerous Dealerships in the state to price the snowmobile. Two of the Dealerships claim that they offer "enhanced setup" of the machines that go above and beyond the normal dealership setup. Their prices are +/- $600 above the dealerships that do not claim to offer the enhanced setup. Is there really anything to the enhanced setups or is it just fluff? Does anyone have any experience with this? I hate to mention any of the Dealerships names, but one is located in Lakewood and the other is in Loveland.
Thanks

I would ask them specifically what they do. IMO it would be tough to justify $600. That's a major chunk of $$, especially when you are buying a sled that is supposed to be setup from the factory for the mountains.
A flatland sled used at High elev, or a Summit at low elev. is another story.
It might be worth it if the changes are proven and somehow justify the $$$.
I would pick a dealer more on their service and knowledge....even if it wasn't the lowest price.

So, RPM & Felkers both offer clutching that is more ideal for our elevation... as someone with 3 XM's that lives up the hill from Denver, the stock setup is HORRID. I've never owned a sled with more terrible clutching off the floor than these... pretty disgusted how far off they are. I'm 300-600 rpm off in just about any climb with either my 154 or my 146's.

I've ridden setups from both (basically one is a copy of the other, big surprise) and they're much better, but considering what they're giving you, I'd rather call Roosterbuilt & get a solid setup & have a smaller shop do the work if you can't.

btw, since you're up here, have you checked with Power World? Not sure why you'd want to go down to the chity to get a sled.

I agree with Paul...what does $600 get you??

Not quit sure BCFL's rpm issue??...I am not a fan of the blue QRS spring but a simple spring swap (doo spring:face-icon-small-coo), gear up a tooth or 2 (depending on riding/rider) solves most issues...add the HPS can and QCers and 8000 rpm all day long...BJ

$600 gets u a clutch set plus installation.

So what does a rooster built clutch kit are a dynamo joe clutch kit, plus a couple off hours of shop labor cost?

That's what your paying for.

If you can install yourself save your money.

Which shop is gonna throw in this "enhanced" setup. There's wiggle room, don't let them tell you there ain't.

Also keep in mind the T3 will have some different clutching from the factory (ramp). It may work excellent (??). I wouldn't spend any extra $$$ until you see how it works.

Paul...seriously??

you know better, LOL...they added the drivers/track gearing is 2.75 something and out the door they went...IF they did anything it was a doo green spring to keep things simple...BJ

Actually, as odd as it seems, I've heard from 3 people now that the T3's have been spot on for RPM on test rides around here (10k+) when none of the other XM's are even close to that.

I'm not saying backshift & overall performance is there, but the fact that it holds R's as well as folks are telling me says that they did make some real changes. If the ones that are being demo'd are ACTUALLY production setups, I'll be pretty impressed when they come out.

I hear a new ramp. We will see.
