When it's time to cut a hole in your tunnel, you can be done in a few minutes with pro looking results.
Tools:
3/32" Punch
3/16" Drill Bit
2-1/4" Hole Saw
2-1/2" Hole Saw
Flat/Half Round File
Scrap of of 2x4
Clamp
1) Mark your opening using the template provided with the kit.
2) There will be a rivet in the area that will be removed. Remove the rivet mandrel with the punch and drill out the rivet with the 3/16" bit. This will become the pilot hole for the next step.
3) Using the 2-1/2" hole saw, cut out the bottom of the opening.
4) Wedge and clamp the scrap of 2x4 in the track with it roughly centered on the hole you just cut. This holds the track out of the way for the second cut and provides material to guide the 2-1/4" hole saw.
5) Align the 2-1/4" hole saw with the top edge of the opening markings and make your cut.
6) Use the file to bring the opening to final size.
