Can anyone tell me how to get to Pearl Pass?

I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to get to Pearl Pass from either Taylor Park or Aspen. I stay in Taylor park and have been to Aspen many times so that route is not a bad idea either. I've wanted to try that route for many years and have researched it on google earth many times, but I know that wont tell me much.

All I can tell you is that if it looked like Taylor pass did in January, better bring a 4x4 not a sled.

A few guys I rode with once said it is a very rocky ride.

We did Taylor on our way to Aspen on the 7th of Febuary and it was not bad. Not great but very rideable. Especially if you know where the good secreat play spots are.

Ok if no one can tell me how to get there from TP how do you get there from Crested Butte.
