We had 4+ inches new snow this week, and a puny 2" week before, but today I groomed trails from legionville road Merrifield, Mission TWP and up to the Cedar Chest on #3, So. of Crosslake, and also the Pine River Loop trail, and the trail to 1/2 moon landing on the Mis'pi river.
Started at 8:00a.m., and dragged azz home at 6:00p.m.
Loooooonnnnnnngg day at 5-7 MPH.
Trails are good cond, some short stretches not quite as good, and may have some ice under the snow in some curves. Slow down in curves. Saw a few sled tracks off into the brush because they were entering corners and curves way too fast.
The Paul Bunyan MAY get groomed tonight by another driver team, but generally the PB looks fair to good from a diatance.
Saw a modest number of sleds out today, expected to see more.
