anyone ever had this happen?

Went out yesterday, conditions was rock hard. I hit the rev limiter on the trail so i took the klickers down from 3 to 2 and no problems for the rest of the day till we were on the last straight stretch before the trucks we all lined up, sled took off awsome pull hard all the way. till i wanted to slow to a stop and it wouldn't ( primary was still partially ingaged)found this holding the clutch open.
Any ideas why it would happen?????

Time to change the primary to a PB80 ��
