Anybody ever use a drawlatch to secure their hoods?

Thinking about something like this.

Just mount them in the same line the rubber straps are on, just at the seam between the two plastic pieces.

As hood fling prone as the m-sleds are, it seems stupid to rely on those rubber things and the pinner little nubs that hold them in place.

I haven't. These look pretty rigid and would be more prone to take out a chunk of hood or something. I wouldn't want to hit my knees on them either.
