Time for a top end in my tired 17’.

Does anywhere sell Oem pistons, wrist pins, rings, base gasket and head o-rings as a kit?

Looking to save a few bucks rather then purchasing individually.

I feel like that would be a step backwards, the 17+ pistons seem to be great. 3,000 very hard miles on mine.

If it’s a step backwards why does Indy Specialty put 15 pistons in all the long rod motors they build?!

Ooh. I thought 2015 is when they updated the pistons so anything 15 or newer got the same part number. Am I wrong?

I believe these were the years Pistons changed in the 800

you have to watch your part numbers , i have them posted for you in my thread [ how many miles until engine boom ? ]

This is the first that I’ve read the 15’s were tougher.
I’m halfway tempted to toss some pro-x pistons in since I’m planning on selling it in the fall.

i would not use a polaris piston , any other brand is better ,pulled a few axys pistons only to find collapse skirts
