Seeing the recent skid guard thread made me think of something.
Several years ago I picked up a nice condition 2012 800 Summit for friends to use on an outing.
Very clean, good plastic, only 900 miles on it.
The PO had installed a few nice amenities, along with a yellow skid guard.
After getting it home, I gave it another good look-over!
Underneath I noticed a rather large eye-bolt hanging down from where the rear of the lower A arms connect.
He had installed the eye-bolt through the skid guard and into the module.
(must have been for tie-down use.... not sure)
Here is a picture of the eye-bolt. My finger gives you a good idea of it's size.
Can you imagine if a rider had gone over a large snow covered rock and had hooked that eye-bolt?
Just for fun, what have you guys found?
