Advice for a "Stock Sounding" Performance exhaust and Can.

Hey guys I just bought my first Arctice cat and it came with an performance can on it but it way to loud for me to ride on NH trails without getting pulled over. I love the sound of it. But I was wondering if anyone knows of a performance exhaust that's almost as quiet as stock with all the power gains. If not anything that my be close. Just went from a Polaris ProXR 800 to an 12 Arctic Cat XF 800 141" SnoPro.

Thanks guys I currently have a D&D Can on it sounds amazing but like I said way to loud. My buddy is a fish and game warden and I wouldn't hear the end of it.

Quiet Exahust Silencer

I run a Diamond S on my M8000 and a SLP on my M8. Both silencers are the quiet versions. The Diamond S is lighter. Both are great choices in my opinion.

As mentioned above, our Lightweight Muffler saves 11lbs with no power loss. It has a more aggressive sound than stock, but it's reasonably quiet for trail riding. You can even slip the stock muffler wrap over ours for a steathly look.

There's a vid on our website too-

I have an M8 with a speedwerx muffler. I really like the sound of it. It has a deep "ping-Ping" sound at idle and is maybe a little louder at WOT but nothing that will attract attention. I live in Maine and have gone through several Warden check points without issue. The guys they are hitting these days are the ones with the "Folgers can" exhausts like Sno-stuff, MBRP, ect.

I love the speedwerx can on my M8000! It's not too loud when riding around on the trail but when you open it up on the hill, its definitely noticeable! Not to much the weight loss reduction!!

go with an SLP pipe set, pretty good bang for the buck,no fuel controller needed, has a nice tone to it.if your gone change cans for weight loss and sound, may as well change the y pipe, pipe, can also for more weight loss and pick up some hp.definitly worth the coin for a stock 800ho.

Are you running an slp set with no controller? If so what elevation?

I really like my diamond S quiet can. They are spendy but it fits great, sounds pretty close to stock at idle, very tolerable at WOT, looses a bunch of weight, and will gain you 4hp over stock on an otherwise stock sled. Stock or mod this one gets my vote. Just can't use it with an SLP pipe if you want to for some reason down the road. Works well with my BMP pipe. My $0.02.

Another vote for diamond s if you got the coin. Like mentioned about as quiet as stock and like 17 lb weight loss. Slp would be my second choice, had one for 8 years on my m7 with no issues and not to loud.

The GGB Trail Can is a bit louder than stock and has one of the best sounds on the snow. It has a deep rippy tone. I have one on my Polaris and can't say enough good about the overall value! Give them a shout! Great sound and a great price!

You sure about that? As far as I know, the SLP full exhaust needs to have a power commander to add fuel. I know on my 09 I didn't need a controller but since the HO motor has been out they need a controller.

oh yes my mistake,i should have did a quick search before posting misinformation,i ran the ran set on 07-09,sorry about that!

My favorite Stock sounding Muffler is the Bike Man Full Velocity. Either in black or ceramic. I have never had fitment issues or long term issues. You save roughly 11 pounds also.

Another vote for the slp. Here in ontario they are pretty tight on modified exhaust. I have yet to get a ticket with mine running g through several stop checks

I agree with Bacon. Full slp setup on a cat with 800ho motor requires a control. The non 800ho motors can be run without controller with 91 octain from 0-3000ft (pre 2010)

Slp on 07-09, no fuel controller required at any elevation.
Like all cat 800's, a fuel controller can make the sled run better.
