99 ZR 600 EFI

R
I have a chance to buy a 99 ZR 600 EFI with a 141x2 inch track for 650.00. I have never been around these sleds. Are they reliable? I am scared of EFI because I don't know anything about it. If it works fine I am sure its great, but if it has issues I would have to take it to a shop. Any info would be great.

They are just as good as any clutch out there. Maintenace is key. Also the stators go out. You can get a new one from RM Stator for $200.00. For $650 has is a good deal, I would buy it.

For $650 I would definitely buy it and then just use it as a back up sled or an early season sled.

is there a remedy for the clutches?

Yes, put a P85 off a polaris on it. The clutches work fine but you heed to replace the weight pins and bushings every 800 miles or the weight tips to the side and you blow the clutch, they ususally make a nice big hole in the belly pan!

I think I will pick it up. It has a brand new seat. The hood has a few cracks, I have no clue what the mileage is but it runs great. The tunnel has drop brackets. Overall it is in ok shape. I have never had a cat, but for the money I guess it will work. I just need something to pull the kids around the field with.
