98 pantera 580 efi boging problem

need some help or direction, our 98 pantera 580efi runs great, starts right up, will sit and run forever, most of the time it will tack off at the hit of the throttle, but sometimes it will bog, like you just hit the kill switch. if i snap the throttle 4 or 5 times it will get past the bog and run great, while riding, if you slow down, rpm under 4000, and hit the gas, some times it will bog, but work the throttle and it recovers. never does it above 4000 rpm. thank you robert.

yours maybe just the TSS at the throttle lever....might check to see if your cable is well adjusted first...if not you nshould be able to disconnect it....look on here for blaines post on these issues

You have a open ignition system. If the tss is bad with happens all the time. Unplug the three wire plug with purple, brown and black wire and see if the sled runs fine. If you want to fix the tss swich you need to cut the black wire and cover the ends. This will disable the tss switch but will leave the kill switch still able to work. I have disabled all my tss switches this way when the went bad.
