97 ZL 440, dies when you turn the choke off

Sled ran fine then 2 weeks later took it out and it started fine, took it out of the trailer it ran for a minute then died, started back up and had to throttle it a bunch to keep it running, took it for a warm up ride in the parking lot and it would go, not fast but it would move, as soon as you turn the chock off it dies, you cant even throttle it to keep it running. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. I did check the filters and replaced.

I have had ethonal do that exact thing before on older carb sleds. Does it have ethonal in it? If it does drain it out put new gas in and it will run like new

Could be plugged pilot jets in the carbs.

id clean the carbs and start with some fresh gas

Fuel or air. Look for clogged carbs or torn boots

Thanks, I'LL pull the carbs and let you know how it went. We are going ridin all weekend. Thank Goodness for back-up sleds.

Thanks everyone, took the carbs off this mornin and found some crap in an air port. Took it out and it ran fine all day.
