800 Pro RMK Erratic Coolant Temp

2013 Pro RMK 800 with power claw track shows coolant temp bouncing erratically from 111 to 127 to 121 and so forth. It has never done this in the past. Where should I start: Replace coolant temp sensor? Check stator output?

Update: issue resolved. Found the coolant temp sensor black line had a short in it.
