Liberty makes the 800 engine and all these meltdown issues seem related to the engine, so why are we blaming Polaris?

Shouldn't we be blasting Liberty and sending our comments to them for producing a crappy product?

Uhh are you serious? Liberty is Polaris. They are built in the polaris factories here in the USA. Liberty is just polaris's name for their own built motors- instead of fuji that they use to buy from the japs.

Yeah - I'm gonna stop by the Liberty factory on my next trip to Kenya and chew A$$..........We didn't have those problems with those Indy engines made in Indianapolis!!!!!!!!!

A google search did not produce any results for a real company.

Are you sure about Polaris making the Liberty? I have seen other brands using the Liberty engines, so curious about that.

It could be a subsidary, or someone they bought out. Will have to do more research.

The Liberty is a Polaris motor! Not sure which is worse a camera film company or Polaris trying to make their own piece of junk.

Wow....just....WOW.

You can barely get any customer service from Polaris...a company that actually exists! Send your comments to "Liberty". Good luck w/that.

There is nothing wrong Liberty. The fault clearly lies with "Dragon" since it is only thier sleds that seem to be having problems.:beer;

Uhhmm, but, but, I love my Liberty 600HO carbed sleds as they just blow away the CFI equipped Liberty 600's/800's on fuel economy. lol.

But as said above, the Liberty series engines are built in the USA by Polaris!

That is just sad! I truly hope you dont ride a Polaris!:rolleyes:

Wow! The riding conditions must be bad everywhere since you are all so cranky.

I asked a legitimate question based on what I had been told and seriously believed to be the case.

Some here have even made comments supporting the stupidity of them making their own engines, so it is not that odd to ask. Even my John Deere has a Kohler engine!

It is ok to resist the need to jump on others for asking a stupid question.:D

I don't recall you asking who makes the Liberty engine. The question was shouldn't we be placing the blame on Liberty, for all the 800 problems? I think most of us are. Liberty is Polaris, made in the good old USA.

Dude I just took the time to actually read this!! LMFAO!!!:rolleyes:

I think the only one that was right is the Fuji engines made in japan? They actually got that one right!:face-icon-small-win

Maybe so but I rather keep my money in this country! (whenever possible)

I agree as well. Just reflecting back to the XLT day's. Those motors ran forever stock. And would last a long a$$ time turnin 10k+ RPM!:D

The Liberty motors arent all that bad.

I would take a Polaris Liberty motor over a Suzuki (Cat) motor or the Bombardier/Rotax motor any day based on having ridden a number of Liberty motored Polaris sleds over the years! I have never had any problem with the motors and I have had several that have been heavily modded including running nitrous. Not one burn down, crank issue or anything else. I can't say the same about the one Cat M7 that I owned or a whole variety of Ski Doos that I have been around.

All of my Polaris sleds were purchased from Carl's and modified by Carl's. They set them up right, they modify them, if you choose to do so, to be reliable on the mountain and they stand behind them. You can't ask for much more than that from a dealer.
