4X4's run to Jubilee Lake -- 2011

"outlaw 4x4 rigs in the snow"

when did snow become property, and the 4x4 rigs arent the problem, the people are. outlawing 4x4s insnt the answer. people want to close the forest to snowmobiles because of stupid people, now you sound just like them.

I'm sure you said it out of frustration. But words can hurt and piss people off.

But it's not cool when people do things that are just plan stupid and can ruin it for some if not all of us.

Just my two cents.... not here to offend anyone. :face-icon-small-win

Do this, next time you see them out, stop and politely ask them if they would drag a chunk of chainlink fence behind them to flatten out there tire ruts....I doubt they would mind and it would keep the trails decent for sleds.....

here, the 4x4 groups let the snowmobile club know when they are going, and then the snowmobile club makes sure to go up with the groomer afterwards. that simple. we can all enjoy the snow, just be a little curtious to the others enjoying it.

We have had this problem on our side of the hill, IMO as long as the stay within the date line when they are able to use the groomed trails then it is as it should be, and they have a right to enjoy them also. It is when they are on the trails before these dates when the snowmobilers are still using them under the winter rec guide lines, is when it starts to make people mad. The
4x4 groups need to make sure of there dates in there forest districts, some are diffrent than others. Some might need to be educated?
We all need to respect each others use.

Just my two penny's

Couple of points, no one really cares if the 4x4's are running the jubilee lake road as they have every right to. The problem is that someone decided it would be fun to take their 4x4 on the roof of the Bone Springs warming shelter. It seems like there is always a small group will not follow the rules or respect other peoples property, it doesn't take long for stupidity or arrogance ruins a good thing for everyone else. It wasn't but a couple of years ago that complaints were coming in from cabin owners at Tollgate about snowmobiles being ridden over their cabin roofs. Point is every group has their problem people and the 98% that obey the rules shouldn't allow that 2% to give them a bad rep. Any ideas?

no kidding.....i ride tollgate area all winter long then take my CJ5 up in the spring time after they open the gates. I guess i see it a little differently considering i like to enjoy the area for both uses. There are a LOT of dumba$$es aroud here that dont care about the rules or regs and just go do what they want. Its too bad really...im not the only one that sleds and jeeps this area. I guess nobody talks about the guys that follow the rules. It only takes a couple of stupid guys to give everyone a bad name, wether it be on a sled or in a jeep.

my $.02..........take it or leave it
