470 to 583 swap

Hi I have 94 skidoo formula mx 470 i wanted to swap out for a 583. I found a 97 583 motor, i was told it would bolt right in. Im curiois though if the clutch alignment will be correct and if i would have to get a new coil, new carbs, and make some adjustments. Thank you

The clutch alignment specs will be the same for the 583. The coils will work. I think the 470 had smaller carbs, depending on year and models. I would run 40mm on the 583 set up for the altitude and temp of your riding. Both are very solid engines.
