2024 Freeride 146 Ride and Impression

Dealers are selling out of snow checks and we are a week in. But you hold your 40k ransom to a company that saw 2.4 Billion in revenue last year in a 6 month term

I’m sure you have them trembling at the knees

They must care alittle, as they just reached out to me and confirmed there will be a specification change for MY24 to the chaincase. You welcome.

You knew they would do this. If they said there is a problem they have to fix them all. This will save them money only fixing the one that break in 2 years.

More than one sled has broke down because of chaincase issues.

Doo sucks if they do not doo the fix for the 2023s too.

Tired of reading whining and crying about same topics on every thread. You guys think it will make any difference? Manufacturer sees the numbers. How many warranty cases build up then they start investigating and finding the solution. Im sure theres updates coming.

Back to topic, they say new spindle has backed up 3mm the ski. As far as I understand, theres less caster. Thats gonna be interesting how its gonna effect the riding.

Ordered 2024 146" turbo so next season is gonna be interesting!

Norona.. What benefits are there with the 15” track when everything is still on a 16” tunnel? Curious of the pros/cons. I love my 146 Freeride aftermarket turbo. It has the factory 2.5” lug 16” track. Give me reasons to upgrade.
Well ya narrowing things up would be a big change but the 15 inch rides well and there is a lot of space in there now which helps air and snow move through faster so track spins faster, the 15 inch track loses about 35 pounds of load over the 16 inch so it will trench more and does, just ask truthfull guys on the lynx, if you ride fast then it wont matter but in tech trees when you slow down that makes a difference. The 146 rides very flat, I am not the rider jay and blaine are and that sled is for them, I can ride it though and felt very comforable and surprised how capable it was. And factory turbo R is well pretty spot on, i dont try to convince guys, that is your decision, but since you built one you know how good they are.

The ds4 ski sucks, it feels heavy and is slow turning, one of the best upgrades on an expert is ds3 skis, however on the freeride with the new spindle more stood up it steers awesome!

He isn't going to wade into this. Everyone will be bitchy so why would he? Not his job. I don't believe they will admit to anything. It will just magically go away for 24.
Norona is an ambassador. His job is push the positive. Pipe dream if you think he is coming on here.
I have some of these guys on ignore for obvious reasons, I have stated the 24 will be updated to the Lynx Chain and gears, 53 tooth is 504154569 116 link chain is 504154313 21 tooth 504154567 you can update at anytime if you want as I stated, but they are not ticking time bombs, I have not switch any of my sleds nor have the majority of the team. Some have tested some stuff as always.

On another note, guys who want answers on gauge, and other parts, the sled although released is not close to being final, things change improvements are found in all aspects every years as it is ongoing. If you want the sled finalized now, it has never been done that way and the turbo you are riding now would be less, as improvements were made through end of season and into summer. They are prototypes until the sled goes to build. This is how most things are done, so if you are holding out for answers, they won't be confirmed until the new sled is out. I was told the lynx chain and gears is as tough as hyvo and or better.

the ones that will fail in the future from the problem that BRP just conceded to are definitionally ticking time bombs.
the question i have is what, if anything will be done to the design of the driveshaft coupler.
