Some iBackshift clutching install today. I know Joe says you can use almost any tools and get the job done, but having the correct tools makes it so easy!

C & T tools and BRP tools are what I use. I really prefer the BRP clutch holder tool and the BRP puller. BRP puller is 21mm, same as primary bolt, so you don’t need to grab 2 different sockets.

And no I didn’t use WD40 on any part of install, lol.

Part 2 Ibackshift install underway. The Dalton tool joe describes in his video makes all the difference. So much easy than when I did this last season.

And this year I bought the gear retainer tool, amazing!
Proper tools and garage time, not as fun as riding the sled but good second. Love getting this thing dialed in for the season!

I definitely wouldnt complain if they came stock with a belt drive. TKI belt drive looks sweet, but theres just not enough gain to switch it over, Id just rather spend my money elsewhere. Just my opinion.

Still waiting for Fox suspension, will then install ZRP Z motion, rail brace and T motion lock out.

Now it just needs to snow in Montana!

The hype was definitely real! I am one that never owned a turbo, just didn’t want to deal with the install, no warranty etc. This is the most FUN snowmobile I have ever had. I must of laughed the first 5 miles of the trail up. Oh and the turbo noises...haha. Awesome lol. You can just hear it spooling and building horsepower. Yahoo. All I want for Christmas is another ride and more snow. Going to be a amazing winter!!!

Oops should have looked first, how do you like the boondocker Can? Is it loud? I don’t want a loud can, I’m interested in 3 cans. Reactor, hps, and diamond S. Not sure yet which way I’ll go

Man am I loving this sled! I installed the Rasmussen post forward and really liking this mod!!

Did you find a significant difference with the post forward ? How far ahead did you move it and how tall are you ? Considering getting it.

It’s loud, but at wide open like any can, louder than stock.

I was disappointed in BD because there was a recall on the exhaust after I installed it and it caused a little melting of the belly pan. They have since resolved the issue. I sent back my old can and they sent me a updated one with proper exhaust outlet.

The one ride I made with the BD can, I felt the sled was more snappy and that it was running maybe a 100 rpm stronger than with stock exhaust. I think I will continue running the Reactor exhaust, but I have not reinstalled it yet.

I am 6’1”, for the turbo you have to move it 2” forward or it will hit the charge tubes, also you will need a straight steer post out of a NA 850 summit. The stock post in the turbo has a bend in it. Yes there is definitely a difference. I’m still adjusting to it, but so far there have been no negatives to it for me. So I went with a 4” riser and 1” rise CFR Turcotte handle bar. If you kept the stock bar, it is also 1” rise. I’m not a fan of the small diameter grip on the new summits.

Which can did you go with? I have the BD on order, should have it next week to install.

Is anyone running the Diamond S can? It seems to be the lightest so I'm leaning that direction, but I don't want my sled to be annoyingly loud. Any input is appreciated
