I bought mine in March and I got a letter from Cat to bring it in for some updates, letter didn't say what needed to be done? Still need to do that.
If your looking to buy, I'm selling it. Only 75 miles...used it one day then the heat wave hit!
I put 2,000 miles on mine. Changed a belt at 1,100 miles that was ready to come apart. Just happen to notice a big gob of belt cords at the crucial time before it let go. Otherwise it was a good sled
Just put a down payment on a NEW 2012 xf 800 snopro high country. Cover/goggle bag/hand guards/extra belt/sled 11,555.45 out the door. I am mainly worried about belt issues.
1,100 on your first belt? How does it carve? Deep snow? I hope it pulls some good wheelies. I am coming off of a 2006 crossfire 6 snopro that has a 136x15x1.25 so anything is better. First "new" snowmobile I have ever bought.
I think somebody should have shopped around abit more, that's pretty steep for a 12 IMO
The biggest thing I noticed is how much better it takes the bumps & jumps. Feels awesome. The ski stance is still wide and it fights you on some of the one ski maneuvers. It will definitely wheelie. My canadian buddy has got some cool pics of his with the skis in the sky. You'll never want to ride a crossfire again![]()
I did, but this is the closest dealer and they are VERY VERY GOOD. Sled is coming from Kens Sports in Kaukana, WI. That was 11,555.45 for all the sled/goggle bag/cover/extra belt/handguard & mounts
That's where I bought mine...$10.395.00 +tax I'll let it go for $9500 with three full years of warranty...Cat didn't get the paperwork until late April. used one day in the UP.
You will be happy with Ken's! BTW...sled pulls great wheelies...big fun!!
It pulls wheelies easy in powder and I thought it rode much better than my M's. But I only rode it the one day and was lucky to be in 2-3ft of powder all day so I don't know how it's going to ride on rough trails.
My only complaint would be all the snow build up on the tunnel and running boards. I bought some plastic inserts for the running boards from a guy here on snowest to help that problem but all the snow was gone within a week of the pic I posted.
MadFab EZ-Boards!!
pic of that day

You will like it, I have 350.00 only on mine. 1 trip to N. MN and another out West. The updates kits are going to available from Cat soon, also make sure you receive the update from last year. They will also give you an 084 belt.
For trail riding it works, but it is not a High Speed sled on the trail, with the 2-1/4 track. You mentioned you ride in the UP, this is a perfect sled for the powerlines and logging roads with the 141" - 2-1/4 track.
Any questions let me know. Thx
The pic was taken between Gwinn and KI Sawyer Air Force Base. That was the only weekend they had snow like that all year.

BTW the High Country has mountain clutching so it won't work in the UP...it will over rev badly. I didn't have time to get a cam so I put 80g weights in it and it worked good for me that day but not the way to go.
