2011 a good year?

im looking to get into a ski doo this year. i found a 2011 xp etec 800 for sale it has 1000 miles on it and the guy said it had the recall work done to it. was this a good year sled for ski doo? also what was the recall for?

The pistons were replaced. 2011 was a great year. You won't be disapointed.

is there any way to make sure the recall work was done besides just the guys word?

Get vin and get dealer to check

Yup good year for the xp. If the piston recall was done no worries. Warmers work and the fuel gauge is a lil better.

well that one sold no suprise it was cheap. i found another 11 but this one has 3000 miles. is that alot for a ski doo?

Not sure about the 11 but I put 4500 miles on my 08 before the motor went.

most likely had a new top end. -2000-2500 is the norm on older sleds. Cheaper than a heli tow.

Question, So the 2011 has a piston recall or it has new pistons that were recalled on the 2010? Don't see any info about it on

I picked up a 2011 a year ago and a 2010 this season, I know I have to vent them since last year the 11 went limp on me during a particularly warm day.

I'll check with a dealer if need be I just try to avoid dealers generally.
