I have had this 2008 m8 153" boondocker turbo with secondary injectors since fall 2009 and it now has about 2200 miles on it. It is dialed in for 9000 to 11,000 feet (snowy range) at 10.5 to 11psi. 50/50 of 91/avgas. It has about 2000 miles on it. Always stored in enclosed trailer.
I like the sled & love the power, but want to move to the newer chassis.
I would prefer to sell the sled as it is, but will sell the turbo kit separately if you want to PM me an offer on it. Fits m8's through 2011 (i have another harness for the 2010/11 injectors).
updates fall 2013:
New 2.6" track $800--- awesome upgrade!
primary was getting sloppy, so bought a new primary clutch $500 from Racinstation with a rebuildable billet spider.
MDS turbo weights $250--- wish i would have done that sooner.
Replaced the crappy fox float with a newer cat coil-over.
fall 2012:
replaced pistons at 1600 miles --- looked good
replaced reeds & added ovs reed stops
updated to new style intercooler with fan
updated fuel pump & added fuel booster board
replaced stator due to paranoia from reading snowest :face-icon-small-dis
replaced all bearings and seals in diamond drive & added anti-stab kit & shift assist bearing to secondary
removed the reverse motor and replaced with peak performance lever
What you won't like:
epoxied crack around gas cap in 2012 -- still holds fine.
left footwell took a rock 3 years ago -- you will be able to see it
scrapes & scratches acquired while successfully exiting a few tree-wells
Gauge cluster works, but the buttons quit working on the last ride last season... typical 2008 from what I read. :face-icon-small-fro
If I can't get it sold, I will put it back to stock and use it for a spare mountain sled & Iowa ditch banger/river beater.... so feel free to make me an offer on the turbo kit, weights, track, etc in case the sale doesn't happen. Thanks! --Matt
I do have the windshield if you want it. Like new & standard height black.
