2005 Switchback 9 suspension

Looking for some guidance, Snapped an a-arm & Shock yesterday on my 05 switchback 900. Picked up a new a arm today (stock)

Should I replace with a stock shock or is it worth it to upgrade shocks, if so what shock?

How much money do you want to spend ???
A rebuildable type shock is a good investment

stock shocks are rebuildable, new to riding in the mountains, come from a motocross background, picking it up quickly question is should i spend $150 on a stock shock or is the performance worth spending 5 or 600 on a used set of floats?
