I am having trouble getting the sled into reverse. when I hit the button she dies out but will not pick up and go into reverse. sometimes it works but most times it do not. hot or cold does not make a difference. idle seems to be ok. I checked all wiring and packed with die electric grease. I'm thinking I have to clean/sync carbs??

I had a similar problem and replaced the entire switch on the left handlebar.

You can trouble shoot the switch by using a jumper to simulate the switch closing.
Just follow your wires from the switch down to the CDI.
